To help celebrate St. Patrick’s Day weekend, the Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni will play an exhibition game against the St. John’s Caps at Mile One Centre on Friday, March 16, at 7 p.m. Partnering with Rogers and Scotiabank, the Leafs Alumni have pulled together a roster of players sure to entertain and bring back memories for Leafs fans of all generations. Among the players in attendance will be:  Curtis Joseph, Rick Vaive, Gary Leeman, Steve Thomas, Kevin Maguire, Dan Daoust, Dave Reid, Al Iafrate, Nik Antropov, Wayne Primeau, Darcy Tucker and Buddy the Puffin

“We’re looking forward to visiting the great city of St. John’s as part of our Alumni Association’s efforts to bring the Toronto Maple Leaf experience to more communities across Canada.”, said Toronto Maple Leafs Alumni Association President Dan Daoust. “The Maple Leafs have a long history in Newfoundland, which was home to our AHL farm club for 15 seasons.”

The Toronto Maple Leafs helped open Mile One Centre on September 16, 2001, with their annual Blue & White game, following up the next night with an exhibition game against the Montreal Canadiens.
