The National Basketball League of Canada is announced that Jeff Dunlap of the St. John’s Edge has been named coach of the month for the month of December.

Coach Dunlap lead the Edge to a 5-2 record during December including winning the franchises first four games at home, where the team is currently undefeated.

“It’s a great honour and I want to thank the National Basketball League of Canada for the recognition. I am thrilled for my staff. I greatly appreciate their hard work.” said Jeff Dunlap “Our ownership group has been simply fantastic and we all share in the honour. Now it is time to get back to work! This season is just getting started.”

“When you look at the way the Edge kicked off their inaugural campaign, you can’t help but be impressed with what Coach Dunlap has done with this squad as a rookie head coach in NBL Canada”, says Deputy Commissioner, Audley Stephenson.  “Guiding a brand new club to the best record in the league is truly a remarkable accomplishment and one of the many reasons this honor is well deserved.  I’m more than certain that the very supportive fan base in St. John’s have much to be proud of on this day.”

The Edge take to Home Court for four games on January 9th and 10th versus the Windsor express and January 12th and 13th versus the Kitchen Waterloo Titans.
