Injury and Roster Update: St. John’s Edge
The St. John’s Edge have provided an Injury Update for immediate release.
In yesterday’s game, Olu Ashaolu suffered an
injury to his left thumb in the early moments of the 4th quarter.
He is currently listed as day-to-day and will be a game time decision for
Tuesday’s Game 5.
St. John’s also announced that Dez Lee will be a game time
decision for Tuesday after he re-injured himself in Sunday’s game. Lee had been
suffering from a lower body injury for the majority of the playoffs, he was
forced out of Game 3 in the 1st Round against Sudbury and was
questionable at the start of the Central Division Finals against the KW
Titans.
Updated Injured Reserve List
Junior Cadougan (Lower Body, Out For Season)
Shaquille Keith (Broken Foot, Out for Season)
Day-to-Day Injuries
Dez Lee (Lower Body, Day-to-Day, Game Time Decision)
Olu Ashaolu (Thumb, Day-to-Day, Game Time Decision)
As it stands, the Edge will be heading into Game 5 tomorrow night with 9
players if Dez Lee and Olu Ashaolu are cleared to play. If Ashaolu and Lee are
not able to play, the roster then shrinks to just 7 players.
The St. John’s Edge will provide an update as of tomorrow once more information
has become available regarding the injuries listed above.
